“Wow! Everything about my son's party here exceeded all expectations! My son loves being outdoors so soft plays, trampoline parks and alike didn't really do it for him. I found Surrey Hills Forest School did parties and knew it was exactly what I was looking for. From the moment I booked it Lee has been amazing with communication and replied promptly, patiently and helpfully with every question. On arrival Lee was there straight away to greet my son and show him around - this made so much difference to my son as it gave him the confidence there and made him feel special. By the time his friends arrived he was raring to go and loved showing them around. The site was perfect! The right amount of birthday decoration, some shelter for introductions and food and lots of lovely rooms the children were allowed to play on a soon.as they arrived. Next followed den building and team games - a huge hit with the kids and as parents, we loved seeing what they were capable of and their team work. So many commented how nice it was to see them together outside of school having fun together. Once we'd done the games the children could make medals/necklaces and stick men, brilliantly supervised by Lee's team. Some didn't want to make things and that was fine too as they were busy having too much fun! After food we enjoyed a lovely bonfire and Smores! This was my sons highlight and he loved lighting the fire!! I honestly can't recommend Lee, his team and their party package enough; even the grown ups wanted to play the team games and the kids were sad to leave. Thank you so incredibly much for making my sons birthday so memorable for us all.'”

He recently became very interested in learning about volcano’s and mentioned wanting to find out more, to both Lee at forest school and his teacher at his main stream pre-school. Where his pre-school teacher told him there was unfortunately not enough time in the planned curriculum to fit in learning about volcanos too, Lee and Nike from Forest School embraced my sons interest and planned an amazing science experiment for the next session. My son was so excited to be able to build a mud volcano and then watch the lava erupt out of the top....he was thrilled that they got to repeat it three times as well! The flexible and adaptable approach that Lee and Nike provide at Surrey Hills Forest School ensures that every child’s individual interests are nurtured and the curriculum is tailored to their passions. He comes home after every session saying, ‘That was the best day EVER!'”

“Highly recommend! I had my son's 6th birthday party with Lee and his fantastic team. All the children loved it and got stuck into making wooden necklaces and stick men and then they went on a big hunt where they found all sorts of wildlife, including a toad. The mud kitchen and climbing equipment were a massive hit and toasting marshmallows and making S’mores was the icing on the cake! The party was a great success and, in the words of my son, “This has been the best Party EVER!"”

“We love this forest school! Our son has flourished here, he has speech and language difficulties but the nature of this setting has allowed him to explore his speech abilities without the spotlight of a classroom, in an alternative setting, and he has totally blossomed. He comes home dirty, exhausted and happy - just what we want! So many fun activities, in a shady setting, well-protected from the elements. Lee has made a wonderful preschool in the forest. We will be sending our youngest when he's old enough!”

The children enjoyed all the different activities and the mixture of free play and games, and all were looking happy and exhausted after many rounds of the obstacle course! “We celebrated my son’s 5th birthday at Surrey Hills Forest School - it was just brilliant! Really lovely location, we were lucky it was lambing season and all the baby lambs were in the field next door looking utterly adorable! There were loads of activities for the kids to get stuck into independently, as well as organised games and of course toasting marshmallows and making s’mores. Lee and Amy were fantastic with the kids and really made sure everybody had a great time. Highly recommended.”

“Thanks so much to Lee and his wonderful team for a brilliant forest school afternoon on Saturday. 45 excited 8-year olds had an amazing time. Chantry woods are so beautiful and the kids loved the fresh air, freedom and adventure. A particular hit was the den building and, of course, the toasted marshmallows. Lee and the rest of the team did a great job keeping the kids’ attention with a variety of activities, from whittling stick men and sawing necklaces to den building and balancing on the slack rope. Can’t recommend it more highly – thanks again.”

“Our children, ages 3 and 4, have attended forest school over the summer term and are now at the summer club. Both girls love their time at forest school, they run down the path in the mornings as they are so excited to be there. Lee and his team have provided a fantastic environment for them to explore the woods, play independently and with friends and also to learn new skills. I have noticed an increase in their physical confidence over the period they have been attending forest school, as well as their levels of independence. When we collect the girls, they are excited to tell us what they have been doing with their day, what they have made or drawn and where they have been - down to the stream, building a train track, crafting a butterfly from twigs or visiting the nursing home. “Lee has been working with the school from the beginning of September 2017. As a school we were looking to develop key skills in our children that were not as easily developed in a classroom environment. From the outset, Lee has been extremely focussed and organised, delivering enriching and exciting learning opportunities for the pupils. As a result we are already seeing the pupils improving in their skills such as independence, resilience and communication skills. We work closely with Lee to further develop the learning experiences for our vulnerable pupils. Lee informs us of the planning for the sessions, gives regular and termly feedback and provides opportunities for members of staff to learn strategies. We as a school are very impressed with the intervention of Forest schools that Lee is providing and look forward to building a strong long term link with the service he provides.”
